Why I’m moving into business start up mentoring
31st Dec 2021 was a big milestone for me. I felt it looming all through the month. For much of that time it felt heavy and weighty. 🏋️♀️
It was one year since the last day in my corporate job. 👩💻
One year since I had a steady, predictable pay cheque on the last Thursday of every month. 💵
One year since I knew for sure that there was no going back. 😜
And at the risk of sounding like I’m trying to be in the movies, one year since I gave up any option of a Plan B, because there is no Plan B. 🤷♀️
I know without a shadow of a doubt that I have found my calling in the work I am doing. ✨
AND…
I find my ideas on how I want to support as many mums as possible to find and live their own calling in life continually evolving. 🌿
Because I am constantly evolving. 🌱
Motherhood has been the steepest learning curve of my entire life, but becoming a business owner comes a very close second. 🤩
It’s this crazy journey of self acceptance on steroids. 💛
And I think that a large part of what makes it such an incredibly rewarding journey is that it’s one of co-creation.
When I work with my clients, other mums just like you, I learn at least as much from you as you learn from me. We are in it together. 🤗
And what I am finding again and again is that the biggest reason that mums struggle with balance is feeling unfulfilled at work.
Sometimes that discontent is right there on the surface, and sometimes it’s buried deep inside.
It’s no coincidence that I work with people who are just like me. 💫
High achievers, mums with big ambitions who want to make an impact in the world. 🌍
Intelligent, talented, highly skilled women who have achieved amazing things.
And yet just don’t feel it on the inside.
Is this you?
You have a niggle that you are meant for something more, but just don’t know how to make it happen?
Over the coming weeks I’m going to be talking more about finding your balance through doing work you love.
And my coaching will be moving into business start up, from the very first stages of listening to that niggle while you are still in your corporate job through to having the foundations in place to welcome in your first paying client. ✨
What I know to be true is that the biggest obstacles to taking that niggle of discontent that keeps rearing it’s head through to the foundations of a real business are the obstacles inside.
It’s all the stories that we have picked up along the way that lead us to think that we don’t have what it takes, or that it won’t work for us.
And so that’s what I’ll be teaching.
Business built from the inside out.
Because back to that looming milestone of mine. What I have found is that until I got to know myself more I couldn't believe that my big dreams were possible. The last year has shown me that success really does start from within.
