Imagine if money was your friend
When my son was 9 months old we booked an impromptu getaway to the beach. 🐠
A beautiful, white sand, sunny beach in Majorca. 🏝
We stayed in an idyllic AirBnB, one of those ones that are even more plush than the pictures suggest. ⛱
We ate out most evenings and bought supplies from the local grocer. 🍅
It was divine. ✨
And yet, if you’d caught me back in the real world I would have told you that I wasn’t motivated by money. 💰
Of course it was a welcome bonus (sometimes literally) of my corporate work, but I wasn’t that fussed about it. 🤷🏼♀️
Imagine if you were the money I was referring to and I was one of your friends. 😱
You enable this gorgeous getaway, planning, booking and adding the finishing touches.
And I turn around and tell you that it was ok, but anyone could have done all that.
I suspect you would have been more than a bit miffed. 😉
And we might not stay friends for very long.
If you say you’re not motivated by money and you’re open to a different perspective, tune into Episode 84 of The Balancing Act Podcast where I’m offering about just that.
You’ll hear me outline:
Why the money keeps you stuck
What it tells you about the rest of life
How to strike up a new friendship with money
